Ok, today’s new words are all very important. Shall we do the same thing that we did with the breakfast vocabulary? Let’s look at these images and say what we see, check unknown words in the course or in the dictionary, and review and repeat until we know every noun and its article for sure.

By the way: I learned that if you are not talking about any specific piece of cheese, of meat, any specific salad, for example that you have prepared or talked about before… all of these nouns are indefinite, and - as they can be considered uncountable, general amounts - they are used without articles.
Look:
· Ich esse Kartoffeln / Nudeln / Reis / Gemüse.
· Ich esse keine Kartoffeln / keine Nudeln / keinen Reis / kein Gemüse.
· Ich esse Rindfleisch / Schweinefleisch / Hühnchen / Fisch.
· Ich esse kein Rindfleisch / kein Schweinefleisch / kein Hühnchen / keinen Fisch.
· Ich esse Brot / Butter / Käse / Salat.
· Ich esse kein Brot / keine Butter / keinen Käse / keinen Salat.
· Ich esse Schinken / Wurst / Obst.
· Ich esse keinen Schinken / keine Wurst / kein Obst.
· Ich trinke Wasser / Tee / Apfelsaft / Bier / Wein.
· Ich trinke kein Wasser / keinen Tee / keinen Apfelsaft / kein Bier / keinen Wein.
To learn new words, we need to use them a lot, right? Let’s do this? Ask some questions following this same principle above, where you use these words without article! Try to think of the words without looking at the vocabulary sheet or at the images. 😉
Hast du … ?
Essen wir heute … ?
And now with the article, pointing at the specific food or drink on the table:
Kannst du mir bitte … geben?
Great! 😀
