Hi, wie geht’s? Phew, I just came out of a lesson about the German gender! German nouns can have one of three genders! And they don’t even correspond to the genders in any other language…

My teacher recommended to learn the articles, “der”, “die” and “das” along with every new noun I learn.

I am a visual learner, and I like to write things down, so what I’ll do is take all the new nouns and write them on different pages in my new notebook, and I’ll even use different colors. And then I will keep looking at these pages and study the new words. As I revise, I will imagine the thing in different colors too. Hopefully, they will stick. What is your favorite tip to learn the gender of the German nouns?
