I feel exhausted and happy. After this last exercise, I have all kinds of questions mingling in my head. I actually just got clarity on the difference between “Wo?”, “Wohin?” and “Woher?” Have you paid attention to that? They all translate to “Where?”, but “Wo?” is used for a location, “Woher?” is used for “Where from?” and “Wohin?” is used for “Where to?”!
· Wo bin ich? - Where am I?
· Wo ist der Supermarkt? - Where is the supermarket?
· Woher komme ich? - Where am I coming from?
· Woher hast du die Tasche? - Where do you have the bag from?
· Wohin gehe ich? - Where am I going (to)?
· Wohin schwimmt er? - Where is he swimming (to)?
