Und noch eine Kuriosität: Man verwendet in einer Kaffeerösterei der Stadt den Kaffee zum Heizen. Die Rösterei besitzt nämlich keine Heizung, denn die alte Röstmaschine wird sehr heiß – und damit heizen die Eigentümer den ganzen Laden. Dass der Kaffee nach dem Rösten auch noch sehr lecker schmeckt, muss man nicht extra betonen.
Die Stadt gehörte mehrmals zu Frankreich und mehrmals zu Deutschland – immer abwechselnd. Also ist es kein Wunder, dass die Bewohner fast zweisprachig sind. Sie sprechen Französisch und Deutsch. Sie können also sowohl in Frankreich als auch in Deutschland arbeiten.

Another curiosity: in one of the city's coffee roasting plants, coffee is used for heating. Because the old roasting machine gets very hot, the owners use it to heat the whole store, and the roasting plant needs no other heating system.
