Du kennst vielleicht aus dem Geschichtsunterricht den Westfälischen Frieden. Man verkündete ihn im Jahr 1648 auf den Stufen des Rathauses von Osnabrück. Damit war der Dreißigjährige Krieg beendet. In der Stadt gibt es einen Brunnen, Bürgerbrunnen genannt. Dort bist du stundenlang beschäftigt, denn du kannst 1200 Figuren und Gegenstände aus der Geschichte der Stadt Osnabrück bewundern. Das dauert sicherlich eine Zeitlang.
Und in Osnabrück – und das hättest du sicher auch nicht vermutet – gibt es in einem Kaufhaus die einzige Surfwelle mitten in einem Geschäft. Fahre am besten mal hin und probiere sie aus!
You may know the Peace of Westphalia from your history lessons. The Peace of Westphalia - the end of the Thirty Years' War - was declared in 1648 on the steps of the Osnabrück town hall. In addition, there’s also a fountain in the city called the Bürgerbrunnen. There you can keep busy for hours admiring 1,200 figures and objects from the city’s history.
Also in Osnabrück - and you would never guess this - there is the only surf wave in the middle of a department store. You should go and try it!
