Wie wäre es denn mit dem Jahrtausendturm? Er wurde zur Bundesgartenschau gebaut und ist 60 Meter hoch. Du hast oben einen wunderbaren Blick über die Stadt.
Auch Friedensreich Hundertwasser war in Magdeburg aktiv. Die Grüne Zitadelle war sein letztes Projekt und das ist sicher sehr interessant für dich.

However the best thing to do as a visitor is go straight to the cathedral and marvel at it. It’s the oldest Gothic cathedral in Germany and certainly worth a visit. From the top you have a wonderful view over the city.
Friedensreich Hundertwasser was also active in Magdeburg. The Green Citadel was his last project and that will surely be of interest.
