Das Deutsche Eck in Koblenz ist weltberühmt. Dort ist der Zusammenfluss zwischen Mosel und Rhein und du kannst das riesige Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmal nicht nur besichtigen, sondern auch darauf herumklettern.
Seit der Bundesgartenschau vor etlichen Jahren gibt es sogar eine Seilbahn über die Stadt, mit der du ganz bequem zu einer Burg schweben kannst. Diese Burg ist die Festung Ehrenbreitstein und ist die zweitgrößte Festung Europas. Von dort aus hast du einen grandiosen Blick über die Stadt, den du dir nicht entgehen lassen solltest.
Spaziere unbedingt auch in der Altstadt herum und trinke Kaffee in einem der hübschen Cafés, iss ein Eis in der besten Eisdiele der Stadt und genieße die Spezialität der Stadt – Kartoffeln in allen Variationen! Ich wünsche dir schon einmal guten Appetit!
The German Corner in Koblenz is world famous. It's where the Moselle and Rhine rivers meet, and you can not only visit the huge Kaiser Wilhelm monument there, but also climb on it.
Since the Federal Garden Show several years ago, there is a cable car above the city, which lets you comfortably glide up to the castle. The castle is the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and is the second largest fortress in Europe. From there you have a magnificent view over the city, which you shouldn't miss.
You can also walk around the old town and have a coffee in one of the lovely cafes, eat an ice cream in the best ice cream parlor of the city, and enjoy the specialty of the city - potatoes in every form! Wishing you a 'bon appétit' in advance!
