Freiburg liegt an der französischen Grenze und ist eine Studentenstadt. Falls du jemals dorthin kommen solltest, pass auf, dass du nicht in die kleinen Wassergräben trittst, die überall in der Stadt zu finden sind. Diese Wassergräben heißen Bächla und man sagt, dass man einen Freiburger heiraten muss, wenn man hineintritt.
Im Sommer lassen die Kinder ihre Boote darin schwimmen. Dazu haben sie auch viel Gelegenheit, denn Freiburg ist auch noch die Stadt mit den meisten Sonnenstunden pro Jahr. All das macht die Stadt sehr lebenswert – und auch deinen Urlaub kannst du dort wunderbar verbringen.
Freiburg is located on the French border and is a student city. If you ever get there, make sure you don't step in the little water channels that can be found all over the city. These channels are called Bächla and they say that if you step in them, you will have to marry a local from Freiburg.
In summer, children float their boats in them. They have plenty of opportunity, because Freiburg is also the German city with the most hours of sunshine per year. All this makes the city very liveable - and you can also spend a wonderful vacation there.
